Textures of blocks not loading correctly

What I expected to happen was...:
Blocks and maps to behave normally.

What actually happened was...:
Some blocks are rendering incorrectly and have no top texture. Maps are also being significantly washed out. Have not been able to find any consistency in which blocks are effected

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Haven't been able to reproduce because I haven't managed to get it to go away. Changing settings doesn't fix it, nor does quitting the world or restarting the client.
