The Bug

The game crashes when certain explosions occur near a creaking in its death animation. See the attached crash report.

The types of explosions that cause a crash are:

• Creeper explosion
• Wither spawn explosion
• Fireball explosion
• Wither skull explosion
• Firework rocket with firework star

TNT, beds, respawn anchors, and end crystals do not cause a crash.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Place a creaking heart between two pale oak logs at nighttime to spawn a creaking.
2. Teleport the creaking next to the heart: 

   /tp @n[type=minecraft:creaking_transient] @s

3. Summon a creeper next to the creaking, and ignite it with a flint and steel.
4. Before the creeper finishes its fuse, break the creaking heart so the creaking enters its death animation.
5. If done correctly, the game should crash.

Observed Results

The game crashes when certain explosions occur near a creaking in its death animation.

The game should not crash.
