Some projectiles vanish after executing "/tick freeze" and coming close

Steps to reproduce:

1. Throw a certain projectile (for example, ender pearls or potions, but not arrows or tridents).
2. Freeze the game with "/tick freeze".
3. Step in front of the projectile.
4. It disappears.

I am fairly certain that this bug has the same cause as MC-268279, however in this case the issue is more severe: Players that want to check how a contraption that uses projectiles works can miss critical details if this bug stays unfixed.
