Game crashing

Whenever I attempt to load Minecraft: Java Edition from the launcher, It opens the game for a few seconds, then crashes and sends me back to the launcher with the message "Exit code 9". For about 4 months, I have been trying every possible method recommended online, such as: Redownloading the game, signing in again, allocating more RAM, freeing up as much memory as possible, and creating a new installation. The only time the game did not crash was when I played any version older than 1.10. I've seen many instances of people with this problem, but none of those people seem to have found success. I hope this error can be solved, as it has made the game unplayable. Thanks.
