String can be duplicated using tripwire hooks when contraption is facing west

n version 1.21.2 (24w34a), the issue that 'String can be duplicated using tripwire hooks' has not been completely fixed.

When running water into string that is attached to a pair of tripwire hooks the string is broken as expected BUT one more than the number broken is dropped.

1. Build the simple facility as depicted in the following figure.

2. Press the wooden button, and then position the String at the location of the "tripwire hooks".

3. The number of Strings is increasing
