Zombie's dropped armor can be 0 durability

I was playing in my survival world (1.20.4) and when I killed a zombie with gold armor it dropped it's boots when I checked it, it was 0 durability. Of course nobody uses gold armor but I think this applies for other pieces of armor dropped by an entity. (Iron, Leather, Diamond, Netherite)
