Bucket bug in survival

When a filled bucket is used in survival, the item does not replace itself with an empty bucket. I think I know why this happens.

What I expected to happen was...:

Item being replaced

What actually happened was...:
The item dissapears upon usage

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Survival mode
2. Use any filled bucket

What is the cause?:

I believe due to the recent changes with item usage, specifically the honey bottle not turning into an empty bottle when used in creative mode in the latest snapshot, it created a problem where in survival mode upon using a "one-use-item" it deletes itself without the replacement.
