Putting on armor from hotbar deletes current worn armor

What I expected to happen was...:
right click to equip new armor, swapping it with the current armor

What actually happened was...:
right click to equip new armor, permanently deleting old worn armor

Steps to Reproduce:
1. put on any armor pieces
2. put armor in hotbar
3. right click to put on new armor
