Attempting to swap armor by right clicking deletes it

Steps to reproduce:

1. Wear a chestplate
2. Hold a different type of chest plate in your hand
3. Be in survival mode
4. Right click

Observed results:
The other chestplate is deleted.

Expected results:
The armor is swapped.
