Wind burst sends items way too far

Killing an entity/player with a mace with wind burst sends the contents of its inventory too far (up to 40+ blocks away)

 

Steps to Reproduce:
1. spawn a chest boat/minecart with items inside or another player with full inventory
2. hit and kill it with a wind burst mace and with a bit of sideways momentum
3. let the items spread

Observed Results:
The items go very far, up to 40+ blocks 

Expected Results:
Items should disperse the normal 2-3 blocks from where the entity died
