A Messaging Crash

I tried to Public msg but it automatically crashes but for some reason I can private msg to other people only.

What I expected to happen was...:
To be able to type a msg seen by every1

What actually happened was...:
It crashes as soon as I enter a public msg

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Press / and delete it or in my case press k= / then delete it
2. Type a msg to every1 not a private msg or pm
3. Then press Enter
