Permanently reduced damage

What I expected to happen was...:

Attacks with fists or weak weapons do not damage to mobs or items such as boats

What actually happened was...:
Attacks with fists, gold sword do no damage or knock back to mobs
Also cannot break things such as boats without iron or better sword 

Steps to Reproduce:
Happened after multiple deaths during a raid
Could be caused by witch weakness potion effects not wearing off and becoming permanent due to dying while under its effect though no visable poison effects on screen 

Drinking milk, dying and restarting the game has not removed this condition
