Soul speed effect will temporarily stop when landing on soul sand

im running through the nether and when i jump on a soul sand block my soul speed stops for a short bit before resuming again

What I expected to happen was...:
that not to happen

What actually happened was...:
my movement is being slowed down

Steps to Reproduce:
1. get soul speed
2. run and jump on soul sand
3. it doesnt matter if you are jumping up levels or just on the ground, and it also happens when falling off blocks
