periodic_ticks entity predicate does not work

The 1.21 article mentions:

New sub-predicate type Periodic Ticks Predicate available as periodic_ticks

However when trying this in-game, it doesn't seem to work. The field is actually called periodic_tick (singular). Either this is a typo in the article, or a bug in-game.
