Can't switch to the 4th hotbar slot while sprint jumping

What I expected to happen was...:
that it would switch to the 4th slot

What actually happened was...:
nothing happened when i hit the 4 key

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start sprint jumping
2. Try to switch to the 4th slot with the 4 key
3. ...
