Running /kill @e in the End when the Ender Dragon is alive drops two torches upon respawning

Using the "/kill @e" command while in the End can cause two torches to appear in the player's inventory upon respawning in the Overworld, both in creative mode and in survival mode with commands enabled. It does not occur when using the command in the Overworld or the Nether, and appears to only occur the first time this command is used in the End in a specific world, even after exiting and reentering the world, as repeated attempts to trigger this bug in the same world do not succeed.

The issue does not seem to occur with the other "/kill" commands, nor does it seem to be effected by the use of the other kill commands prior to using the "/kill @e" command. The bug also does not occur with 100% consistency, as some attempts to trigger it in different worlds have failed, apparently depending on the world seed. This is verified by the fact that recreations of previously tested worlds have produced the same results as their original counterparts.

-7556326932367241907 is an example of a seed in which the bug occurred, the same world as shown in the final few screenshots. On one occasion, the torches dropped on the ground instead of directly into the player inventory, visible in the last screenshot. The seventh screenshot is to show that the torches in the central portal in the End remain unaffected. The bug does not occur in 1.20.6.
