"Pick Block" key not working

I was trying to get a stack of oak wood, in creative, then all of the sudden, I middle clicked, and it wouldn't work! This bug has happened since 1.19.

 

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open creative spawn menu
2. Find a stackable block
3. Use the pick block key
