/playsound command failiure

i wanted to lisen to a bit of minecraft music without using a jukebox so i'd entered the command /playsound minecraft:music_disc.chirp music Tazaar3

What I expected to happen was...:
i hear the music

What actually happened was...:
i did hear it but only on the spot where i entered the command

Steps to Reproduce:
1.put in the command /playsound minecraft:music_disc.*name of disc music @p*

2.move

3.u hear the music fading when u go away and coming back when u go back

 

(i don't know if this really a bug or just a weard rule in the minecraft code but it's annoying)
