Infinite crafting materials in survival

I just started a new world on this snapshot in survival. Cheats are on, and in peaceful mode, I don't know if that's important, but oh well. I have one oak log that I crafted into planks, but for some reason when I collect the 4 planks, the log stays in the crafting grid. I tried placing and breaking it, but it still happened. Then I tried a spruce log and it still happened. I get the 4 planks from crafting, but it's just that the log stays in the crafting grid and my inventory.
