Crafting UI flickers incorrect or blank recipes when choosing items from the recipe book

Steps to reproduce

1. Data packs: None
2. New or existing world
3. Have a few stacks of Iron Ingot in your inventory.
4. Open a Crafting Table UI.
5. Open the recipe book.
6. Click on the Bucket recipe.

Expected behavior

The ingredients would be placed in the correct orientation, and the correct result (+1 bucket) would appear on the right side.

Actual behavior

Sometimes, the result flickers as blank or 9 iron nuggets, even if it was already bucket(s) before.

I originally spotted this on a Realms server with 1.21 & Bundles experimental datapacks enabled, but then I was able to reproduce it (less often) on a brand new 1.20.6 world with default settings & no experiments.

I also attempted this with Gold Ingots. While clicking the Golden Helmet recipe many times, I saw the output flicker as empty, 9 Gold Nugget, and Gold Pressure Plate.
