Error 143 - Cannot Open Game

I am having trouble with my application working on my Mac (Monterey 12.7.4). I have uninstalled the Minecraft launcher and redownloaded it, even turning off my firewall. However, the game never loads when I download and open the app. The application says "Application Not Responding." When I force quit Minecraft, the game loads and says Error 143. I have tried many times to get this right, but it won't work. What else can I try? I am also worried that my world may be lost now due to all the uninstalling and redownloading.
