Thrown projectiles with custom_model_data do not maintain proper particles when breaking

To reproduce:

1. Download the attached resource pack: bug.zip

2. Give yourself a snowball with custom model data of 1, which remodels it to redstone dust using the resource pack.

/give @s snowball[minecraft:custom_model_data=1] 

3. Throw the snowball.

Notice that the snowball breaks into snowball particles rather than the proper redstone dust particles.
