minecraft doesn't launch under linux debian7/ all versians

Put the summary of the bug you're having here
after login, errors out and doesn't get to minecraft main menu

What I expected to happen was...:

should be able to get to main minecraft screen
What actually happened was...:
error report automatically produced ..so obviously didn't get to
minecraft main menu

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Login

2. ...click on play button in launcher

use linux debian 7 amd64 distro either java 6 or 7
thats it
