Failed to login: com.mojang.authlib.exceptions.MinecraftClientException: Failed to read value {}

My friend opened up Minecraft today and tried to login into a server and got this error:-"Failed to login: com.mojang.authlib.exceptions.MinecraftClientException: Failed to read value {}".Everything was fine yesterday but somehow is happening since today morning. What are some solutions?
