Villagers Falling Through the ground

I was at my house and a villager was in my cart so i used a stone pick to get him out. Then he fell halfway into the ground so i pushed him and he came out. Then he opened the door to my house then fell into my basement so i went down there and he was jumping 3 blocks high until he got back upstairs.
