Weird distance darkness effect

So i played MC normally until i had to change computers and re install it and started putting the worlds back into the game.
But when i started up the first one, something was weird, the thing is, there is a weird darkness effect on the distance that stays there until you get up to layer 61, after that, it disappears and that did not happen on the other computer. I want to know what is going on.
