Wandering trader's lead for Llamas detach from the Wandering Trader's arms and stays stuck there indefinitely.

I was going back to my house when I noticed the lead that a wandering trader had for his llamas was floating midair, away from where he was. It appears that the leads can stretch indefinitely, visually anyway. It also seems that the leads aren't actually stuck in that position and are actually still anchored to the trader, but visually it is stuck. I thought that my shader pack might be the issue, but I turned them off and the lead was still floating. I have never seen this before.
