Command Blocks

Me and my friend were making an adventure map on Minecraft v 1.6.2 and we encountered a bug.
we encountered that when using @p in the command /say format in a command block it does not recognise it and would say my friends name instead of mine and vise versa.
i would put this in a command block: /say @p is player 1!
and when it is activated it would say: @ ZoomGravity(my friend) is player 1!
please fix this bug.
