Im crashing when i talk

Well I logged on to minecraft about 2 weeks ago. I went on a server when someone said hi to me and i went to say hi back. when i said hi the game suddenly crashed. I thought it was just with that server. Turns out its with every server. I can only message private messages. Please fix this. My IGN is Sarakatw21
