Players vision is impaired while standing on a path block while generic.scale is set very low

When standing one a path block with a small scale, the player will only see a dirt texture while in first person.

Steps to reproduce:

1. run command 

   /attribute @p minecraft:generic.scale base set 0.05

1. place a dirt path or soul sand block
2. stand on top of it
