Minecarts do not move around corners depending on blocks near the corner

Minecarts will stop in a rail corner if certain blocks are placed in certain positions near the corner as shown in the pictures.

What I expected to happen was...:

The minecart moves around the corner without stopping.

What actually happened was...:
The minecart stops in the corner.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place blocks as shown in setup (1).png and setup (2).png
• You may replace the stairs with any of the affected blocks
2. Place a minecart on the rail next to the lime wool block

Affected blocks:

• minecraft:piston_head (if oriented as shown in screenshot)
• Any skull/piglin head/dragon head standing on the ground
• wall skull/piglin head/dragon head (if oriented as shown in screenshot wall skull.png)
• minecraft:lectern
• minecraft:lightning_rod (if oriented as shown in screenshot)
• minecraft:bell (if oriented as shwon in screenshots)
• minecraft:cauldron
• minecraft:brewing_stand
• minecraft:composter
• Any #minecraft:anvil
• minecraft:grindstone (if oriented as shown in screenshots)
• #minecraft:fence_gates (if oriented as shown in screenshot)
• #minecraft:stairs exept for some orientations
• #minecraft:beds
• #minecraft:walls
• minecraft:chain (if oriented as shown in screenshot)
• minecraft:dripstone
• minecraft:small_amethyst_bud/minecraft:medium_amethyst_bud placed on the floor
• minecraft:large_amethyst_bud/minecraft:amethyst_cluster (if oriented as shown in screenshots)
• minecraft:azalea/minecraft:flowering_azalea
• minecraft:pitcher_crop (only if age >= 1)
• minecraft:chorus_plant
• minecraft:turtle_egg (only if eggs == 1)
