Auto Crafters connected to chain of hoppers only fills first

A chain of hoppers stacked vertically all pointing into auto crafters will only fill the first auto  crafter. It doesn't matter if there's vertical space in-between the auto crafters or if the chain of hoppers are horizontal instead.
