Decorated pots disappear items inside them when you close and reopen your world

Decorated pots can have items inside them, but when the player close the world and then reopen the world, the items inside the pot disappear. For example, I put 9 ender pearls in a decorated pot, but when i reopened my world, the ender pearls wasn't there.
