Bees stay upside down while trying to attack

I was harvesting the bee hive with no campfire and closed the door to prevent the bees from attacking me. I stayed close to the door and the bees tried to attack but couldn't through the door. (When they attack they spin)They stayed in the upside-down position until I moved away. Further testing might be needed. The image is a bit unclear, but you can see the upside-down bees through the door.

HOW TO REPLICATE

1. Build a small house, about the size of a village house.
2. Put the bee nest/hive in the house (with bees inside)
3. Once honey gets made, shear the hive, go outside and close the door
4. The bees will attempt to attack through the door and will stay upside down.
