Didn't get the cherry blossom cape

Today me and my friend were in a call, and he told me you could've gotten the cherry blossom cape through last month's Minecraft mob vote. I voted on the crab at the time, but did not receive a cape.

I only issued a report for this because I only heard about the reward like two hours ago. I did not know I should've gotten a cape, but I am a bit sad that I don't have one now, despite having voted.

Would it still be possible to get the cape or is it just tough luck?
