Spectating the Ender Dragon doesn't work

When Spectating the enderdragon, you can still fly around but Minecraft doesn't realize your position is changing, causing the world to not render around the player in spectator mode but render around the dragon. pressing shift to dismount teleports you back to the dragon and ends the glitch. see attached video below.
