Strange piston behavior

• Place down a sticky piston facing upwards
• Place a block of your choice one block to the right and two blocks upward from the piston
• then place a redstone torch on the side of the block towards the piston
• you will notice the redstone torch manages to activate the piston with a 1 block air gap in between
