App fails to load UI window

Once launched, version 1.20.2 client doesn't render any UI. The app icon appears and can only be interacted with by force quitting. After that the launcher reports either error code 9 or 143. I've fully reinstalled the launcher and 1.20.2, restarted, and I've tried 1.20.2's various snapshots and they all have this problem. 1.20.1 works as expected. Game logs don't have much info:
