How do I use the dedicated graphics and not the integrated one?

For a long time, I've been trying to use my PC's dedicated graphics instead of the integrated one. I've already tried the typical steps like setting javaw to high performance in Windows, but I don't know what else to try. I can't completely disable the integrated graphics because it's a laptop, and it doesn't allow me to do that
