I think my minecraft is leaking memory

I don't think this is a widespread bug, but my minecraft is eating all of my data. When I open minecraft my 8gb ram computer goest rom 50-60% memory usage (or sometimes cpu usage) to 85% when im not playing and 95-99% when im on a world or server? I have msged support and have gotten nothing that I haven't tried or that has helped. It isnt with my minecraft settings and uninstalling doesnt fix it. It has been like this for almost a month now. Any ideas for helping?
