Suspicious sand and gravel spawned in using creative mode does not give loot

Suspicious sand and gravel spawned in using creative mode does not give loot 

What I expected to happen was...

I created a new creative world to play around with the new 1.20 features. When I got suspicious from the creative inventory and used a brush I expected to fin loot

What actually happened was...:
However after I dusted down about 50 blocks of suspicious sand not one piece of loot came out.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Spawn in suspicious sand from creative.
2. Get a brush and dust down the sand.
