1.20 Nether or End Not Working

I updated my world from 1.19.2 to 1.20.1. In 1.19.2 I was perfectly capable to enter both the end and the nether flawlessly but as soon as I updated to 1.20.1 it won't let me through my portal. This isn't just a problem with one world, it's affected all of my worlds, if a world was made prior to the 1.20 update I can't enter either dimensions BUT if i create a new fresh world in 1.20.1 I can access them both fine. I've tried moving 1.19 world files over to a new 1.20 world but that doesn't work. I don't know what else I can do.
