When i land on a barrier block it makes red block particles

so I was testing the newest update and I noticed a weird thing that's going for years the barrier block was a block texture but it only shows your barrier blocks and no one else can see the barrier block and it was a texture so if you land on it it makes a weird red stuff (particles)  so I need help (from Mojang or moyeng)
