Left side bearing/kerning is treated as double when using TrueType fonts

How to reproduce:

Use attached Resourcepack.

Open chat, say

aia
a|a

For example, with "i", you can see that the left side is wide and the right side is narrow.

This isn't a problem with the font I'm using, it doesn't seem to happen when used as a bitmap font.
