Blocks not rendering at a certain distance on chunk border

When a few blocks away (8 or so), a few blocks disappear, showing something else in the far distance.

Steps to reproduce:

generate world seed -5770899057114763906 in 1.19.4

go to 272 80 -126

step a little closer until seeing the glitch

blocks gone won't come back until you get past them towards the cave (stays that way if you back up towards the outside)
