Shift-click crashes the game

The bug:

When I was playing in my single-player world, I tried to shift-click an item, but it crashed the game.

How to reproduce:

1. Go to any menu;

2. Shift-click an item.

 

PS: Not 1.19.4, it's Beta 1.9 prerelease 3.
