Whenever I try to connect to a server I get the error message below.

Switching from my normal wifi network to a data hotspot fixes the issue for some reason but I can't stay on my hotspot indefinitely. I've researched online and saw this post (MC-207896) but I don't use any unofficial software for minecraft outside of optifine (I tried booting up the game without optifine, that doesn't fix it) and my hosts list is completely blank aside from the commented out lines that have #'s. I've tried restarting my computer, rebooting my router, logging out of my minecraft account and logging back in, and even clearing out my DNS cache. Nothing worked.
