Sign text disappears when ESC on keyboard is pressed

When text is entered on a sign and the ESC key is pressed on the keyboard, the text disappears when viewing the sign.

 

What I expected to happen was...:

The text should remain visible regardless if ESC key is pressed on keyboard or the Done button is clicked when a player finishes entering text on a sign.

 

What actually happened was...:

The text disappears when the ESC key is pressed when the player finishes entering text on a sign

.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a sign of your choice.
2. Place the sign on a block (against a "wall" or on the "ground").
3. Enter your text of choice.
4. Press ESC on your keyboard.
5. View the sign.
6. Sometimes, the text disappears. Other times, the text stays.
