Warden's sonic boom disappears items

What I expected to happen was...:
Was killed by the wardens sonic boom attack and returned within 3 minutes to find all my items already gone. It wasn't long enough for them to despawn and I wasn't near any lava or water

What actually happened was...:
My items disappeared completely when the warden used the sonic boom attack

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Trigger warden 
2. Get hit by the sonic boom
