If i try to show the hitboxes, they will not appear in Minecraft java edition

If i try to show the hitboxes, they will not appear in Minecraft java edition 1.16-1.19-4 (I dont know about the other versions)

What I expected to happen was...:
When i press f3+b,  the hitboxes should be shown for all mobs and entities.

What actually happened was...:
I got the chat message that "hitboxes are shown" but i didn´t see any hitboxes. What i am trying to say is, that this isn´t a technical bug, it´s a visual bug, because as i said, it did react to my keys, but didn´t show anything. The same is with f3+g, to show the chunk boarders.
